For:
Diaphoretic, antipyretic, stomachic, carminative
Diaphoretic- clears wind-heat conditions associated with colds and influenza with fever, headache, sore throat, and red eyes (conjunctivitis). It can also be used for measles and rashes. Like peppermint, it is very good for stomach bloating and lifting the spirits. Finally, it can be used for mouth sores, toothache, allergic rashes, hives, and the early stages of measles.

| Safety:
Mint should be used with caution by those with weakness and spontaneous sweating. This herb should not be used by nursing mothers, as it may slow lactation.
